When and why did you start in the IT Industry?

I’ve always been interested in computers and technology, starting with building and fixing friends computers in school it was a natural progression to continue into the industry.

Officially starting in 2003 as a computer technician and moving companies and rolls I’ve worked as a help desk officer, data cabler, Backup and Disaster recovery consultant, Network and systems administrator to name a few.


Give us a few highlights of your IT history up to joining Time Out! Computers?

Creating complete wireless solutions to allow remote work spaces for Geological camp sites.
Assisting complete datacentre setup from network racks, virtual hosts and machines, to setting up redundant network connections between states.


What is your current role at Time Out! Computers? What do you enjoy most about it?

I am a Technical Specialist, this means I get to deal with customers on big projects while assisting with day to day troubleshooting and technical procedures.
I enjoy the challenges this job sets me and the smile on the customer’s faces when an issue is resolved or a project goes off without a hitch.


What would you like to tell us about yourself?

I’m an adventure nut; I’ve been sky diving, abseiling, bungee jumping, and kite surfing.
A father of two and camera enthusiast.


Tell us about one or more of your hobbies?

Making short films and photography. I’ve been making short films for the last few years, I thoroughly enjoy the creative aspect from writing a script and making it a reality.

This has allowed me to make some great friends and meet a lot of interesting people in the Film industry within and around Brisbane.
